LAX – Default Home Page Setup

Scroll down the page for detailed instructions

1. Go to Pages => Add New
   
   
2. Select the Home Page – Default template
   
3. Press Publish
   
   
4. Go to Appearance => Customize
   
   
5. Set the page you created as your static home page
   
6. Press Save & Publish
   
   

Next, set up your home page content

1. Go to Appearance => Customize
   
   
2. Visit ModernThemes Plugin repository
3. Download the Projects Plugin
   
4. Go to Plugins => Add New
   
   
5. Select Upload Plugin
   
   
6. Click on the projects .zip download file
   
7. Click Install Plugin
   
   
8. Press Activate Plugin
   
   
9. Go to Projects => Add New
   
   
10. Add Project content
    
    
11. Go to Appearance => Customize
    
    
12. Go to Home Page Options
    
13. Go to Home Page – Posts Options
    
    
14. Set post options settings such as number of posts and color settings
    
15. Press Save & Publish
    
    

Set the video for your Hero Section

1. Go to Appearance => Customize
   
   
2. Go to Home Hero Options
   
   
3. Go to Video Option
   
4. Read the directions on how to set HTML5 video backgrounds
   
5. Upload the .mp4, .ogg, .webm video files with WordPress media uploader
   
   
   
6. Copy each video file url path
   
7. Paste each file extension in the appropriate file field ( .mp4 needs to be in .mp4 field )
   
8. Set the Hero Text
   
9. Adjust color settings under Home Hero Colors
   
   
   
10. Press Save & Publish
    
    
11. Set home page post image background by setting the Featured Image of the Home Page
    
    
12. Press Publish or Update
